The
Rhodesian Ridgeback, originating from Southern Africa, is believed
to have evolved from the hunting dogs of the indigenous nomadic tribes.
The Ridgeback's pedigree, character and stature are reflected in our
full bodied red wine which will continue to mature if carefully cellared
for up to 10 years.
Ridgeback Wines is situated in Noord Agter Paarl surrounded by the rugged magnificence of the Paarl Mountains. The farm extends over an area of 65 hectares. Every effort has been made to retain the rich heritage of the countryside maintaining the Proteas and fynbos which flourish in the region. The vineyards are amongst the finest in the Cape where every effort is made to enhance the quality of the grape. The winery, overlooking a small dam, has an abundance of water fowl which blend into the countryside and creates a restful ambience. |
