SARRC is the oldest Kennel Union of Southern Africa or KUSA-affiliated Rhodesian Ridgeback club in South Africa. We are a non-profit organisation striving to encourage a better understanding of the Rhodesian Ridgeback as a breed and insure its survival. Our aim is to promote, assist and improve the Rhodesian Ridgeback by conforming to the breed standard and giving support and guidance to people that wanted to become breeders of themselves. The preservation, betterment and well being of the Ridgeback is our primary consideration. We welcome new members - if you are looking for a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy from a reputable breeder, already own one, or just love Ridgebacks please consider membership. The club is open to all Rhodesian Ridgeback owners and enthusiasts throughout Southern Africa and Internationally as well! We are very proud of our Lion Dog, indigenous to the African continent. These hounds not only make faithful companions, tolerant of children, but also extremely good guard dogs - protectors of their pack. SARRC is very active in the rescue and re-homing of Ridgebacks as well as locating the perfect Ridgeback puppy and homing it with the correct owner.
